Initial Response: While patrolling the district firefighters found an abandoned campfire that had burn out of the ring, and quickly extinguished it. Remember to Drown, Stir, Feel your campfire to ensure it is dead out!

Turkey Tracks 67 Fire

Update - 5/24/25 5:30 pm:
Firefighters contain the Turkey Tracks 67 Fire at 5:15pm 5/24/25. Crews successfully made hand line around the fires edge and have put out any other hot spots interior. The fire area received over an hour of rain showers, which contributed to its extinction. The picture, from the initial response, shows the helicopter supporting firefighters with water.

Update - 5/24/25 2:10 pm:
Fire fighters are making good progress to the fire line on Turkey Tracks 67 Fire. The area is currently receiving light precipitation resulting in minimal fire activity and progression. 

Update - 5/24/25 1:00 pm: 
Firefighters have arrived on scene and are making a plan to safely contain the fire. Turkey Tracks recreational shooting area is very popular and is currently experiencing heavy use. The character of the fire is smoldering and creeping on the slope side.

Initial Response:
Firefighting resources including helicopters, engines, and crews are responding to the 3 acre #TurkeyTracks67Fire_CO 2 miles south east of Westcreek.
